Thinking about a MASHUP album starts with the three important WHOs: Who will be the target audience, who will belong to the co-starring and who the fuck will be mashed at all?
Well, last question was easy to answer when I decided to mash One Direction, and in the very next moment I got the answer for question number one. But then the real work started: Who will be with me? That was the day when I decided to slap the bitch, and so I asked Sammy for some support.
Samantha 'bigsammy' Nagy joined this project and she did what she's always doing: Connecting people and smartassing. When we started to sort and collect artists we knew that this sampler would be very commercial. Not everybody's cup of tea. Moreover, in the beginning of every year mashup nation was very busy. But nevertheless, we’ve been very lucky and now we are able to proudly present the creme de la creme of the Mashup world: Besides me (rappy) legends like Ayee, Chocomang, envision, G3RSt, g4gorilla, Hifi Banjo Strings, Jarod Ripley, Justincredible, Luca Rubino, Marc Johnce, MichMash, Oki, Raheemdaplaya, Ronald 'DJ Magic Baron' Koenders, Rrodd and last not least Sjoersje joined us to make this tribute album 'come true: MASHED DIRECTION!
It's called "A one-way mashup compilation with no turning back" because it is also made for those who are not really connected to One Direction and I am sure that we collected tracks for everybody's taste.
I like to thank all those people who supported this baby, helped us with advices and amazing tracks: THANK YOU GUYS, you are awesome! Special thanks go to my beloved sisters Aurellia Aulia and Luna Alifiandra, to my best friend Fauzi F. and to the weird pepper from Sammyland, bigsammy.
